The New Jersey Real Estate Broker License Examination is the upper-tier real estate licensing exam in New Jersey, taken by experienced salespersons who want to open their own brokerage or supervise other licensees. Administered by PSI on behalf of the New Jersey Real Estate Commission, the exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice test with a national portion and a New Jersey state portion - both at a higher level of difficulty than the salesperson exam. To qualify, candidates must have been actively licensed and engaged in the real estate business as a full-time salesperson for at least three years immediately preceding application and must complete the 150-hour broker pre-licensing curriculum (Broker General, Office Management, and Ethics & Agency).
